RE: The Mountain Folk Thread

I saw corn and peanuts in my poop this morning. Funny thing, I haven't eaten any corn or peanuts in months.

So I think I got SCS. Slow Colon Syndrome. Please pray for me and my diseased slow colon, thanks be to God, amen.

Low down leavin Sun
Done did everything that needs done
Woe is me, why cant i see
Id best be leaving well enough alone
Them neon night lights, Couldnt stay outta fights
Keep-a-haunting me in memories
Well, theres one in every crowd, for crying out loud
Why was it always turning out to be me

RE: The Mountain Folk Thread

Ain't it nice to be back home again friends?! Many thanks to Elaine fer bringin back a legend amongst the forums. Anyhoo it is Fridy nite and me and Bobby Ray is up in a pine thicket runnin the still. It were powerful hot this summer but now, as the harvest is in full swing, it come a code blast. We had some trouble in Augist and Setembur findin a crick what had snuff water to make a batch of shine. This was on account o the hot, dry weather. The good news is I reckon the Mamsquatch went into hidin fer a spell.

Any o' you folks herd from Sweet? I reckon Magus is still crazy as ever. I do hope Katya is well. I lurked at Lop but I ain't seen Luke in ages. I think bout him ever time I go to the store and see Hot Pockets on sale.

"Ray is up in a pine thicket runnin the still"

I was cleaning out the basement after curmy died, and guess what I found in the deep, dark part of the basement? A still.

I almost didn't recognize it because I hadn't seen one since I was a child vising relatives up in Blue Ridge.

It was so damned old and rusty that it probably would've exploded if anybody put a fire under it. I just left it there for the new owners.
