Geneaology Database Question/opinion

We see all these criminal cases being solved through familial tracing via genealogy databases. I've committed no crimes and have no reason to worry.

The question is, when a parent gets this done, should they not get the permission of their children? Does this not constitute an invasion of my privacy as their child?

Now I have part of my private information in a database available to all. I didn't sign up for this. Should I be able to petition for it to be removed? If so, how?

My grandfather always said if you need to change your DNA for some reason, rub some chicken shit on your upper lip.
