American Union Bank Run

ssa.gov

Crowd at New York's American Union Bank during a bank run early in the Great Depression. Thousands of banks failed during the Depression and loss of confidence caused anxious depositors to create "runs" on banks as they tried to withdraw their money before the banks collapsed.
The Bank opened in 1917 and went out of business on June 30, 1931.
